25th Annual Tuckerton Decoy Show, September 2007

We had a wonderful time exhibiting and competing at the Ocean County Decoy and Gunning Show held in Tuckerton, NJ.  This was our 11th year at the show and we had lots of old friends and customers to visit with and as always the Ocean County Parks Department did an outstanding job of organizing one of the best shows we attend.

Rich was once again fortunate to win Best of Show for working fish decoys with the great Bluefish eating Striper shown in the above photo.  Rich faced stiff competition from his friend and student Ron Dombrowski this year, and we congratulate Ron for all the awards he won with both his birds and fish.

As always, we look forward to seeing our friends, customers, and competitors at Tuckerton again in 2008.

Great Lakes World Championships

In September 2005, Rich had a great day at the Great Lakes World Championships held in Monroe, MI.  Rich won six Blue Ribbons, five 2nd Place ribbons, four 3rd Place ribbons, and one Honorable Mention.  Rich entered the Flambeau Run (for decoy with jig stick) again and won 3rd Best in Show.  Rich has now won 52 awards, including 16 Blue Ribbons, at the World Championships in the past 4 years.

 

Tuckerton Decoy and Gunning Show

Rich also attended the Ocean County (Tuckerton), NJ Decoy Show in September 2005, and took 1st Place in all four fish decoy classes, also winning his fifth Best of Show in nine years of competition at Tuckerton.  In addition, Rich won 1st and 3rd Place in the Striper Plug competition, as well as Best in Show Striper Plug.

Northern Michigan (Onaway) Sportsmen Show

In December, 2005, Rich sent 6 entries to the Northern Michigan Sportsmen Show held in Onaway, MI.  Rich won awards for all 6 fish, including 5 Blue Ribbons as well as Best in Show for the Folk Art Division for the 3rd  year in a row.  Rich also won Best in Show for Working Decoys for the first time with a great swimming Herring decoy.
